60's - 70's

  • 1961

    Foundation

    Maurice Charlatte, an aeronautical engineer, founded an industrial sheet metal and boiler-making workshop in Migennes with around fifteen associates.
  • 1964

    BLADDER TANK

    Maurice Charlatte filed a patent which will revolutionise the field of expansion,
    regulation, overpressure and anti hammer protection : "the bladder tank is born ! "
  • 1970

    The water hammer protection tank

    Capable of damping abrupt changes in pressure in the pipes, this tank requires low maintenance and allows Charlatte to seduce the international market especially in developing countries.
  • 1978 and 1979

    Filing of the ARAA reservoir patent

    The patent of the automatic water regulation wastewater tank (ARAA) was filed on February 6th, 1978 in France and on February 1st, 1978 at the european level by Charlatte.

80's - 99's

  • 1985-1999

    Subsidiary in the United States

    In 1985: Charlatte creates his "handling" department. Following its desire to diversify, the company began manufacturing the first airport carts.

    In 1994: The handling branch of the company becomes a limited company: Charlatte Manutention

    In 1993 : Charlatte S.A. created Charlatte Inc. in Bluefield (USA) in Virginia to develop its trolley sales on the American continent.

    In 1999 : Charlatte S.A. joined the Fayat family group, which enabled it to join the boiler making division of this successful structure, joining other companies of similar activities.

Since 2000's

  • 2004

    Change of status

    Charlatte S.A. becomes Charlatte Réservoirs and changes legal status to become a S.A.S.
  • 2008

    New premises

    Inauguration of new premises, in the industrial zone of Migennes, the historical site of the company's head office.
  • 2012

    Building extensions

    Creation of 3 work cells each equipped with 2 nacelles, to facilitate the task of operators (shot blasting, washing, painting).
  • 2016

    Pressure vessels division

    Bringing together all the Fayat group's boiler making entities
  • 2018-2019

    Extension of buildings

    Work in progress of the dedicated room for the training of our staff, including members of our network as well as customers.
